Description
Clematis Olympia’ is a compact growing Clematis with purple flowers and creamy white stamens in the centre. The clematis has a compact growth and does not exceed 150 cm. From May to September you can enjoy the large purple umbels. The clematis provides an oasis of flowers in its first year. Unlike most clematis species that flower for one to two months, ‘Olympia’ can be enjoyed for five months. Most climbers do well in the semi-shade as well as in the sun. This makes a clematis suitable for most places in your garden. It will flower more abundantly if it gets more sun. Because the clematis is a compact species, it can also be placed in a pot on a balcony, terrace or even in a hanging basket. To make the clematis climb better, it needs a little help. It is best to guide the plant up along a rack, wire or stick. Pruning is not necessary. However, remove dead and damaged twigs.
