The Agapanthus Brilliant blue provides a wealth of flowers in the summer. After 5 years, more than 100 flowers appear in summer. This plant is therefore very popular with bees and butterflies. As the name Brilliant Blue suggests, the trumpet-shaped flowers have a beautiful blue colour. It is a compact plant that grows about 75 cm high. This makes the plant perfect for a pot on the terrace or balcony. If you prefer to plant it directly in the garden, that is also possible of course. The plant likes to stand in the sun in well-drained soil. It is a true sun-worshipper that can withstand drought and is hardy to -10° Celsius. In colder temperatures, it is best to cover the plant with a good layer of straw and a layer of plastic. The plant does not need to be pruned, only the leaves that have turned yellow can be cut off. After flowering, you can remove the remaining flower stems.
