Miscanthus Sinensis Strictus’ is a decorative grass with upright growth and striking playful green-yellow cross-striped leaves. Because of the stripes its nickname is also zebra grass. This ornamental grass flowers with bronze-coloured plumes in late summer. It is a strong grower, which is suitable for both full soil and in a decorative pot. The Miscanthus Sinensis ‘Strictus’ is Hardy, but does lose its leaves. In March you can cut back the plant to 10 cm above the ground, after which it will sprout again. You can place this grass in full sun to semi shade. It grows best in humus-rich soil, but has few demands.
