Description
The ‘Miscanthus Sinensis Strictus Dwarf’ is an ornamental grass with a compact upright growth. The ‘Strictus Dwarf’ remains somewhat lower than most ‘Miscanthus’ species. The height of this plant is between 80 and 100 cm. He has irregular yellow spots on the leaves. This beautiful reed flowers in September and October and has red-brown plumes that remain in the plant until winter. The plumes rise gracefully above the leaves and give your garden that little bit extra. It prefers a sunny spot in well-drained soil. Strictus Dwarf’ is hardy, but will lose its leaves and sprout again in spring. Strictus Dwarf’ looks good on its own, in the corner of a border or in a pot on a terrace or balcony. Prune the plant in early spring to 10 cm above the ground.
