Morus Mojoberry’ is a new variety of mulberry that produces fruit on both old and new wood. You can therefore expect a harvest within the first year of planting, as opposed to the usual five to six years it takes with most other mulberries. This compact dwarf variety grows to only 1.5 m in height, which is relatively small compared to other mulberries that can grow to 6 to 8 m in height. This makes it also suitable for the smaller garden. It produces berries for a very long period from May to September. The fruits are good to use for jam, cake or other dishes. The fruits are raspberry/berry-like, reddish-black in colour and taste slightly sweet and aromatic. They are very healthy, containing much fibre, vitamins and antioxidants. Mulberry prefers a sunny, warm and sheltered position. It can be pruned in the spring if needed. Look at the tree, take out the small lower branches and remove large branches that would spoil the shape of the tree. Keep the crown open so that light can fall in. The tree looks good on the terrace in a large pot, but it can just as well be placed in the garden. The mulberry is Hardy to -10 ºC.
