‘Rubus Idaeus Fallgold’ is an unusual autumn raspberry, as the fruits are yellow. They taste somewhat softer and sweeter than the familiar pink raspberries. In June the shrub blossoms with inconspicuous, small white-pink flowers. The flowers are pollinated by bees and bumblebees, so you only need one plant to get fruit. In the course of the summer until October, the yellow raspberries can be harvested. They are especially tasty when eaten straight from the bush, as this soft fruit does not keep as long. The fruit is very healthy, being full of antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. After the harvest, it is wise to remove the branches that have borne fruit so that new young branches can grow in the new year.
