‘Uncinia rubra Everflame’, also called red sedge, is a striking grass with graceful red thin leaves. In the summer months, the plant flowers with red-brown panicles and grows to a height of 40 cm. This red ‘Uncinia’ is a splendid plant that does well in a pot on the balcony or terrace, but it can also give a nice striking twist to your garden. It is a strong plant that can withstand the sun, but beware of severe night frost. The ‘Unicina’ originates from New Zealand, so it needs to be covered in winter to survive.
